The jovial well and the lovely lark - that's how I would describe the amazing Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova.Often times when I receive acupuncture, all negative or worrisome thoughts are quieted and I can rest and be carried away a bit by the peace of the moments. Experiencing The Swell Season live was like that, too. Much like eating a big green salad or fitting in an energetic session of cardio, the music felt healthy and rejuvenating. Glen's stories were potent and steeped in celebration of life's joys, sorrows and mysteries. And Marketa's aura feels genuine and earnest.
My favorite part was when Glen asked the audience to sing along to the refrain: if you have to go, go with happiness.
